Druid Priest + Artist Statement

  Artist Statement "The Druid Priest" wasn't planned but a happy accident, the cloth around my model(Juliet) was to express a divine goddess from olden lore and historic art that would be seen in Roman time. The damaged tree is the star of the photo, so I had the model pose in a way that takes on a motherly/nursing way with one hand placed on the tree with her cloth to act as a bandage and her other hand to give comfort. There can be many metaphors for the photo when I gaze upon it, I see as mother nature taking care of her hurt child

Dinner and a Movie

  “Dinner with James Bond” was tough the thought process was to take a movie series (with Daniel Craig) and make a dinner scene placed in front of you. There are many metaphors placed out, with the Poker table being the first and most notable to be seen which is a nod to the first movie “Casino Royale” but also showing that Bond is a strategist but is blessed with a lot of luck (key components to poker). The shot was from the dealers prospective to show both sides of the series. The Martini is called the “Vesper” which is the love of Bonds life and the spilled over Martini shaker is to represent her death and the chips that come out of it show how he always puts the mission before his companions and haunts him for the rest of the series. Keeping with the theme of the “spy world” I chose to use a puzzle with missing pieces (displayed on the antagonist side) to show that there is no clear knowledge of what the group wants and Bond needs to find the pieces of the puzzle to complete his mi
